The porthole swings out when the lower wingnuts are loosened and disengaged. The brass is polished and lacquered, making this a wonderful collectible. It has three predrilled holes and an upper reinforced brass bracket for easy wall mounting. The mirror is held with 3 screws for easy changing to plain glass if desired. Recalls the sailing ships and navy vessels of yesteryear. Would made a wonderful addition to any marine collection, or gift for the nautical enthusiast.
